The legendary Orient Express, a timeless symbol of glamour and the golden age of travel, is opening a new chapter in its history with the launch of Orient Express Sailing Yachts — a project set to redefine luxury voyages at sea through a blend of French elegance, innovation and sustainability.
140 years after its iconic luxury trains transformed the art of travel, Orient Express now brings the same spirit of exclusivity to the sea with the spectacular Orient Express Corinthian — the world’s largest sailing yacht (“le plus grand voilier du monde”). Measuring 220 metres in length, this extraordinary vessel represents a completely new vision of modern luxury, where refined living meets cutting-edge technology and timeless design.
With only 54 exclusive suites featuring panoramic sea views, the yacht offers the atmosphere of a private floating palace hotel. Among its most exceptional accommodations is the Agatha Christie Suite, a tribute to the legendary novelist forever associated with the glamour and mystery of the Orient Express. Designed by renowned French architect Maxime d’Angeac, the interiors draw inspiration from the elegance of the Art Deco era and the grandeur of historic transatlantic liners. Noble materials such as marble, leather, wood and handcrafted details create a refined atmosphere where every space feels like a work of art.
One of the yacht’s most striking features is its spectacular fitness room, whose design evokes the elegance and grandeur of the Titanic era. With its refined wood finishes, panoramic ocean views and timeless nautical aesthetic, the gym feels less like a traditional fitness space and more like a glamorous scene from a legendary ocean liner.
Beyond luxury, the Orient Express Corinthian also represents a revolution in sustainable travel. The yacht is equipped with the innovative SolidSail propulsion system developed with Chantiers de l’Atlantique, featuring three immense carbon fibre masts rising nearly 100 metres high. Under optimal conditions, the vessel can sail primarily using wind power, while its LNG system and hydrogen-ready technology further reinforce its commitment to a more sustainable future for luxury travel.
On board, guests will discover five restaurants and eight bars, including an elegant speakeasy inspired by the glamour of the Roaring Twenties. The culinary experience is led by celebrated chef Yannick Alléno, holder of multiple Michelin stars, who creates refined menus inspired by the destinations visited along the journey.
The yacht also features exceptional amenities including a Guerlain spa, a private recording studio, a cabaret venue, a marina platform with direct access to the sea and elegant lounges reminiscent of exclusive Parisian salons. Every detail has been carefully designed to transform the journey itself into a unique experience.
The first voyages are scheduled for 2026, with itineraries across some of the world’s most beautiful destinations in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean — from Monaco, Portofino and Saint-Tropez to Capri, Corsica and Sardinia.
